Balance Me Radiance Face Mask, left my skin soft, clean and healthier looking.

What is it? Balance Me Radiance Face Mask is a 98% natural product   It contains an AHA Fruit Acid Complex which gently lifts dead skin cells to provide natural enzyme exfoliation, whilst Ground Walnut Shell Powder acts as a physical defoliant to buff away dry or dead skin. Kaolin Clay clarifies and draws out impurities, whilst Aloe Vera and Lavender calms and soothes skin. The formula includes Balance Me’s signature blend of rosemary, palma rosa, lavender and Roman chamomile oils to help soften, calm and cleanse.

Who is it for? For all skin types:

“Normal skin: Gentle enzyme exfoliation from Fruit Acids reveals a brighter complexion.

Congested/oily skin: Kaolin Clay draws out excess oil and balances skin

Dry skin: Ground Walnut Shell Powder gently polishes away any dry patches and smooths the skin”.

How do you use it?  Use once or twice weekly after cleansing.  Using circular movements, massage the mask into dry skin, avoiding the eye area, and leave for up to 5 minutes.  Emulsify with water and gently polish the skin (my skin is fairly sensitive so I don’t do much polishing with anything that’s an exfoliator), before removing all product with a damp cloth.  Follow with a moisturiser.

What’s the damage? £18 – 75ml

I received this product as a present but was a bit hesitant about using it as it sounded a bit of a harsh exfoliator.  It was the ground walnut shell description that put me off, but I needn’t have worried , the ground walnut shell is a powder and it’s certainly not an uncomfortable mask to use even for someone with sensitive skin.

This is a really good face mask.  It’s creamy and easy to apply. It was a bit more difficult to take off than other face masks I’ve used but I was trying to take it off gently with a flannel without being too harsh on my skin.  I like to softly exfoliate once a week but because of broken veins around my nose I am wary of using anything too harsh. However, this mask contains AHA fruit acids which I know I can use for a few minutes without ill effect.

Five minutes isn’t a very long to leave a mask on, but this certainly worked in that short time.  My skin felt clean and soft and definitely looked better and healthier after using the mask.
