What is it? Caudalie Premier Cru The Cream is a luxurious and effective moisturiser which “regenerates the skin, restores its density and smoothes wrinkles to reveal a firmer, more radiant complexion and redefined facial contours”. The formula contains Caudalie’s three signature patents which are blended at their highest concentration for unparalleled effectiveness; Resveratrol-Oleyl for lifting and firming, Viniferine for brightening, and anti-oxidant rich grape-seed polyphenols. The advanced technology took over 7 years to develop in partnership with Harvard Medical School, with the goal being to target visible wrinkles, dark spots and loss of firmness whilst leaving the skin feeling soft, supple and rehydrated.
Who is it for? All skin types, although it is essentially an “anti-ageing” product, so no need to bother if you’re 20! Personally I would probably have started using something like this at 30. If you want an SPF in your day cream then either just use it on a night or get a different moisturiser.
How do you use it? Take 1 or 2 pumps onto the fingertips and apply to the face and neck after your serum/s. Can be used morning and evening.
What’s the damage? £92 for 50ml (I paid £46 in the Space NK Sale)
Yes this is expensive, hence why I bought it just after Christmas in the Space NK sale, but I do like a Caudalie product. This is an “anti-ageing” (their words) moisturiser suitable for day and night use. I don’t mind my daytime moisturiser not having an SPF as I tend to use a sunscreen as well anyway, but I have mainly used this as a night cream.
It is a lovely moisturiser. Sometimes you feel that moisturisers are sliding around on top of your serums, but this one doesn’t do that. It absorbs well but still leaves a lovely moisturised feel to the skin. It’s a very light cream but hydates like a much thicker product. The few times that I have used it on a morning it’s been an ideal base for my primer and makeup.
There are other products in the range and Caudalie say that using the Premier Cru The Serum as well as The Cream gives you a regime that’s seven times more effective against wrinkles than using The Cream alone. Now I just need to find both products on offer!
