When I heard that Look Fabulous Forever were bringing out a skincare range I was looking forward to trying it out and was lucky enough to be sent the products. Obviously I love trying new stuff! The range consists of 3 products, a serum, a day cream and a night cream, all specially created for the more mature woman and is the result of a lot of research and hard work.
The Hydration Hold Face Serum retails at £42.00 for 25ml. It’s in a lovely glass bottle, so it’s environmentally friendly, and contains one of my favourite ingredients – hyaluronic acid. I’ve talked about this a lot in previous blogs and I can’t praise it enough as it’s something we should all be using to help our skin maintain and boost hydration. The serum also contains Provitamin B5 to enhance skin barrier repair.
I use this on a morning after cleansing. Just put a couple of pumps on the back of your hand and then smooth the serum over the entire face and neck. It’s a lovely consistency, applies very well and settles in quickly.
I follow the serum with the Smooth the Day Face Cream over my face and neck (£38.00 for 50ml). This daytime moisturiser contains a blend of multivitamins A, C, E & F. Vitamin A becomes retinol when applied to the skin and retinol helps to improve uneven skin tone and soften the appearance of fine lines. There are antioxidants to protect against pollution and an SPF for UVA/UVB protection.
This is a light non-greasy cream which soaks in well and pairs excellently with the serum. They are a great base for your makeup. My face feels well hydrated all day.
The third product is Deeply Dreamy Night Cream, £40 for 50ml. What I like about this cream is that it’s substantial but it’s not heavy. Gone are the days where we plaster our faces with a ton of moisturiser. What we need now is a cream that goes well over the top of our various night-time serums and this fits the bill.
The night cream contains Vitamin E to improve skin condition, ProVitamin B5 to enhance skin barrier repair, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 to improve skin tone and hyaluronic acid.
I know this is a positive review of all the products but they are good, I don’t say I like something just because it’s been sent to me by a Company. They are designed for the more mature skin and this is obvious in the lightness of the products. They suit my skin and fit in well with the rest of my (very extensive) skin routine.
