Need some First Aid for your skin this winter? Help is at hand from Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration by ‘FAB’.

What is it? Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration By First Aid Beauty (FAB) is a moisturiser which provides long term hydration and relieves minor irritation.  It is clinically proven to  “increase hydration by 169% immediately upon application”. The cream improves the natural barrier of the skin, it’s fortified with colloidal oatmeal (well known for helping eczema sufferers), soothing eucalyptus and shea butter, it defends against free radical damage and is an antioxidant booster.

Who is it for? It’s marketed as being suitable for all skin types including children and babies.  It’s a natural product and is suitable for people with eczema and psoriasis as well as someone just wanting a more intense moisturiser over the winter period.  If you’re looking for a cruelty free natural moisturiser then First Aid Beauty don’t test their products on animals and they don’t sell to mainland China. It’s free from alcohol, Artificial Colourants, Artificial Fragrance, Lanolin, Mineral Oil, Parabens, Petrolatum, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol and Sulphates. It’s also Gluten, Nut and Soy free.

How do you use it?  Apply at least twice a day to face and body, or as required.

What’s the damage? £24 for 170g, or £10 for 56g.  This is an American brand but you can get it in the UK from websites such as Feel Unique and Look Fantastic.

I know sometimes Bloggers can be criticised for writing about products they “love” all the time and I can see where the naysayers are coming from.  However, I’ve spent a long time trying different products and these are all products which I’ve bought for myself, so I want to share with you some of the best I’ve found to save you having to waste time and money.

I came across Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration by First Aid Beauty recently when I read a review in Allure magazine.  This moisturiser is a massively popular product in America where one is sold every minute.  Weirdly, the following day a tube of the product was in my Look Fantastic Advent calendar (the best Advent Calendar I’ve had and a brilliant treat to myself!!).

The moisturiser can be used on the body and face but I’m always a bit wary of putting the same product on my face as on my feet, maybe that makes me a moisturiser snob, I don’t know?   However, with the extremely cold weather of the last few days I decided to try this and put a layer on over my normal face products as a final defence against the snow.  It was brilliant, my skin did not feel tight and stressed at all.  Personally I probably wouldn’t use it as my actual facial moisturiser every day, but if you want an extra layer of defence against the elements it’s really good.  I’m going to give it a go as a mask treatment this weekend to give my skin a burst of moisture when I won’t have to put any makeup over the top. It’s got very good reviews from eczema sufferers not only as a moisturiser but also as an anti-irritant.

I’ve been using it for the past week or so as a foot and body cream and it is lovely to use.  It sinks in really well, is a good consistency to work with and there’s no greasy feeling.  It’s also good for areas like the elbows which can get very dry.

Will I repurchase, that’s a YES!
