My Planner

I used to love my planners, diaries, notebooks, anything I could write down ideas or write a list in. That feeling of crossing things out and then starting a new list with the leftover items was just amazing. My handbag and bedside table drawers were full of half used stationery. Then the smartphone arrived! I started using the reminder section and the notes but it just wasn’t the same. In an effort to keep up with each lot of new technology I used less and less of my lovely notebooks and planners.

When I decided to start a blog it was obvious that everything would be kept online or on my iphone/ipad, after all a blog is all about technology isn’t it. Well, actually, no it isn’t. I couldn’t find anything I wanted, notes seemed to get mixed up and I didn’t have that lovely feeling of satisfaction when using an actual pen and paper. I would be typing some ideas into the notes section and then my phone would ring or a text would arrive and I would have to look straight away as I was already holding my phone!

I read a few blogs which recommended the Kikki K planners and subsequently ordered a medium in sage green leather with silver dots. There were lots of colour choices, I’m not usually a green person but I was drawn to this one. What I didn’t realise was that it was coming from Singapore, so I had a few days wait before it arrived and the excitement was ridiculous.

I love my planner. I love all the different sections, it even comes with stickers so you can name your own. The calendars aren’t dated so you can start whichever time of year you like. It has a handy open pocket at the front and plenty of to do notes space. I carry mine about with me ready to jot down any thoughts or ideas for the blog. You can get numerous extra inserts but next time I will go to the shop in London rather than order online. Yes it does make my handbag weigh a tonne but it’s worth it.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
