I really like this compact duo as it makes simple contouring, well, simple! I struggle with the whole contouring thing and can never get it to look right, so I’m glad that the overdone 15 different shades of product on the face is apparently losing popularity, but I do like the basic idea of contouring, i.e. giving your face a bit of definition, which is what this product provides.
It’s so easy to use, you just need a couple of decent brushes. I use the lighter shade on the top of my cheeks, under my eyebrows, in the inner corners of my eyes and a very thin amount down my nose. With a second contour brush, I put the darker shade along the top of the jawbone and a small amount down the sides of my nose.
It’s very lightweight so you don’t look like you’ve got loads of product on. You can layer it up if that’s what you want, but I find for workday makeup this is a great, and extremely reasonably priced, product.
